Policies
We love all of our clients and guests at Salty Roots Salon + Co, and we want to make sure everyone feels at home in our Salon. We’ve set a few basic policies to make sure everyone who walks through our doors has an experience that leaves them wanting to return time and again. Booking Fee
All clients are required to place a card on file at the time of scheduling service(s).
All clients are required to pay a non-refundable booking fee to secure your appointment time slot.
After the third consecutive appointment without incident, you may no longer be required to pay a booking fee; however, we will use discretion in applying this booking fee to existing clients. Booking fees may still be applicable to all clients during busier times of the year.

The booking fee will be applied to the total of your treatment price and the remainder will be due upon check-out.

The booking fee will follow your appointment in the event you need to reschedule prior to the 72 hour Cancellation Policy window or in the event of a medical emergency (at stylist discretion). You are allowed one reschedule to retain your booking fee. If the appointment is canceled, the booking fee will be forfeited.
Refunds

We will gladly adjust any service you receive if you notify us within THREE days of your service.

If you are not satisfied with the work performed, we require you return to the salon so that your hair can be visually inspected. At that time we will make every effort to correct any dissatisfaction by rescheduling you with the stylist that performed your service, at no additional charge to you.
Tardiness
We ask that you be courteous to the staff and other clients and make sure you arrive on time for each appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late you may be asked to reschedule or forfeit parts of your service. After 15 minutes we may consider your appointment a no-show and is subject to the No-Show Fee.
Our Gratitude
As a small business we don't get sick days, vacation pay, medical benefits, or a pension plan. So thank you for being a part of our careers and allowing us to provide a living for our families. We want you to understand why these policies are put in place, not just by our salon, but by our industry as a whole. They have become standard practice for the service industry.
When a client cancels last minute, it is very hard to get someone to fill their slot in such little time so we are at a loss of making our projected income for that day. When a client no-shows on an appointment its an even greater loss because we have zero chance to get someone in that quickly and more than likely not for the same service of the scheduled appointment, so we lose that income entirely.
Our cancellation/no-show fees are NOT personal. They are put in place to make sure our stylists are compensated for their time.
Cancellation + No-Show
At Salty Roots, we value your business and do our best to provide top-notch customer service. We ask that you respect our business scheduling policies. Please notify us at least 72 hours in advance with any appointment changes. Appointment changes may be made by calling the salon, if you reach the voicemail, please leave a message, text, or contact us by email.
Confirmation email/texts are sent out 72 hours in advance. You MUST confirm your appointment at that time or it may be subject to cancellation. Appointment reminders sent 24 hours prior to your appointment.
If you inform us after the 72hr policy, you may be subject to forfeiture of the Booking Fee and we cannot guarantee we’ll be able to slot you in as soon as you would like.
We understand emergencies and illnesses happen! We will do our best to be as understanding as possible to any situations that may result in cancellation. All we ask is that you communicate with us.

Cancellations after the 72hr policy may result in forfeiture of your booking fee.

No-Shows will forfeit the booking fee as well as be charged 50% of the scheduled service.
Following a No-Show, you may be banned from booking any further appointments with Salty Roots.
